End-User License Agreement
Effective September 13, 2026
This agreement governs your use of CanopyDecks, a service that builds board financial reports from an organization's accounting data. By signing in or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
1. The service
CanopyDecks reads financial reports you connect or upload, computes financial figures from them, and produces reports, slide decks, and written commentary. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your organization's internal purposes while this agreement is in effect.
2. Your account
Access is currently by invitation. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account, and you must have authority to share the financial data you connect or upload.
3. Your data
Your organization owns its data. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service to you. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. QuickBooks and other platforms
If you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize us to read your company's financial reports. Our access is read only. Intuit's own terms continue to apply to your QuickBooks account, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings.
5. Figures and commentary
Reports are calculated from the data in your accounting records and files, and are only as accurate as that data. Written commentary is generated with artificial intelligence and is provided as a draft. You are responsible for reviewing reports and commentary before relying on or distributing them.
CanopyDecks does not provide accounting, audit, tax, legal, or investment advice, and its reports are not a substitute for professional review.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access another organization's data, interfering with the service's operation, or using it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability and warranties
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CanopyDecks is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made using its reports. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars.
9. Ending this agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached. When access ends, we delete your organization's data on request.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, let account holders know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
